Biography

Professor Daniel SY Ho is an Associate Professor at the School of Public Health, The University of Hong Kong (HKU). He graduated with Master of Public Health from the University of Sydney and completed his PhD study in epidemiology in HKU based on a Lifestyle and Mortality study under the mentorship of Professor TH Lam.

Professor Ho’s main research interests are on adolescent health in relation to tobacco, alcohol and obesity. Together with colleagues from HKU and the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health, his work on tobacco control has contributed to more stringent policies including the banning of sales and import of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products.

He dreams that one day no one will smoke near a child.
